Petrol Audi A4: what changes with a remap

With a petrol engine the remap works through the ECU's ignition, fuelling and turbo boost tables. Re-calibrating them within safe limits releases power that is already there, rather than adding anything to the engine.

Audi A4 2.0 130(b5) against other A4 engines

Among the 23 petrol A4 engines we have figures for, the 2.0 130(b5) ranks 21st for power gain, 17 bhp below the A4 petrol average of 36 bhp.

Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 19 bhp and 38 Nm sits below that benchmark.
